Hello. I was got gun robbery 9 years ago. I was gun pointed and I got hit face.
But I do not have any medical record. I only have a police report and incident took more than 9 years ago. so, I am planning to meet a Psychiatrist to consult mental counseling. can I still apply u visa with this new medical counselling record? Please give any advice if you can. Thank you.

I applied back in 2014 but incident took place in 2009. So by the time I'll get final u visa my case might have a timeline like your story.. I had no medical record & didn't need to see the doctor but applied without psychiatrist evaluation. I've DA but still not fully approved so things can change anytime. My personal statement was in depth and I believe it helped me get on waiting list. It was armed robbery and I was held in a hostage situation briefly. Yes these kind of things can render your brain affected for full life. PTSD ... Good luck get your report and go for it.
