U-VISA : Has anyone renewed their DA EAD?

Hello
I'm the U Visa applicant here from Ohio. My timeline is from April 2014

Timeline is as below

Receipt notice : April 14th 2014
Fingerprint date : Last week of May 2014
DA notice and EAD card 2 year : 10th april 2015

Nothing ever since.

My question is that has anyone renewed their EAD received from DA? Which service center do we need to send the renewal i765 form with fee? Does it approve with in 90 days? Does the status changes online as under normal circumstances?

It won't be fair if I don't let you guys in on my side of the story for asking these questions. I'll be losing my job in 30 days as well as my driving privileges. I've applied for renewal of my EAD in DEC 2016 and the status online hasn't changed at all. USCIS has withdrawn money from my bank account ($380). So now I'm waiting for my U-visa 4 year EAD and the renewal of DA EAD which ever comes first. I was on the phone with USCIS several times for the DA EAD renewal petition and as usual they are clueless. Higher immigration officer told me bluntly they can't discuss my case on phone because of the confidentiality nature of the case and suggested me to write a letter to Vermont service center. I did mention to the person that my renewal petition was sent to Chicago under C14 and I did receive the form i-797c, notice of action.
Now knowing the nature of Vermont Service Center they doesn't respond to anything I'm looking for some answers as well as want to know the experience of other people who are in like my case situation.

Update to the thread started by me 3 months ago.

Finally my card is in production. 16th June 2017 will be 6 month Mark for my petition filed for DA EAD renewal with VSC. I still haven't got anything but online I saw an update to my case status.

New Card Is Being Produced
On June 8, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number EAC170xxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I applied for renewal petition in Dec2016 and receipt date is 16th Dec 2016 & 797 notice of action was received 9th Jan 2017.

My timeline

Application: JAN 2014
DA: JAN 2015
EAD: APRIL 2015.

I have put my application for renewal of EAD in DEC 15 2016 and online it says "Name was updated", I don`t what that means. I have received -797c only so far. No words after that. And yes I did send my application to Chicago only. If I am not getting any answer in this month than I am going to put a congressman inquiry related to that since my EAD is also expiring in APRIL and will loose job and DL. We are both in same boat. Hope for the best. Keep me updated.

I have been waiting for U visa for more than 3 years now. And now same EAD renewal issue as well. Lets hope for the best.

My timeline is very similar to yours I submitted renewal EAD Dec23, 2016 received a receipt ONLY no notice of action JUST a receipt I am a nurse and lost my job BC my EAD expired january25, 2017 my employer couldn't keep me. I had an infopass appointment @ local immigration offices to inquire about expediting renewal EAD no such luck was told to write to VSC and that renewal EAD could take 3-4months +/- i am hopeful that this is our year this January marks three years since i originally filed I918. Wish you two the best and any updates please post tks in advance!! Godspeed!

My case for the EAD renewal was updated today. I had made an inquiry about my case as it has past the timeline. Today they have sent me the reply for their inquiry. I am waiting for that reply in my mail.

Hi Thank you for sharing your timeline and so sorry you lost your job. I applied 4 months ahead of my EAD expiration date but still no luck. My friend on F-1 opt training (different than over ead) applied in Jan 17 and just got approved yesterday. I'll update if I hear anything on my case.
I did contact a local state representative in Ohio and I'm hoping he will help me and write a letter to USCIS about my pending case. (Thanks scorpion for that suggestion).

Yes I did e-request. And it says they have sent reply to this request but yet to receive in mail. It is not saying that they have approved my case and sent the EAD. So fingers are crossed. Thanks and good luck.

Thanks for quick reply. By just taking a quick look how do you e-request for i-765 ? I see all other applications listed but not the EAD. Or did you call the 800 number. How long you had to wait before they replied. Thanks

I did e-request as well as my attorney tried to call them for the update. But they are not giving any specific answer on phone. I will see what they have sent in mail once comes. They take up to 15-20 days to reply on the e-request. If it comes quick than you can assume that they will say they are working on the cases which is their basic reply. We can`t do anything to pace them to work on our cases. They will do what they want to do. No one can change that.
