    Being Deported While waiting for U visa

    Hi All,

    Can one be deported while waiting for a U Visa? I have been reading different stories online. Due to recent ICE raids, I've been super concerned about it. I'd like to hear everyone's perspective, but specially from Mr. Peerally.

    I'm sure you can but let's say if you do get deported and your case is Approved then you can enter the US legally again.

      I think DA is to protect from deportation. I have never came across any case in which the person is deported while on DA. You can get deported if you get involved in sever crime.

        My lawyer said they should not deport someone when they see you have application for u visa pending. I hope he is right about it. Of course when person get involved with new crime they can deport.
