    I received a letter from my lawyer today. I've been placed in deferred action . Notice of letter 1/23/17

    Applied: August 11th , 2014

    Do you guys know if we need to send a payment to USCIS for form I-765 ?
    Uvisa app. 8/11/2014
    Transfer to NSC 11/29/2016
    DA. 1/26/17
    DA EAD APP. 3/10/17

    Congrats! Thanks for sharing this gr8 news.
    Did you not file for fee waiver ? Check with your lawyer if he sent 2 sets of I-765 with fee waiver.

      We are in similar boat hopefully I would get good news soon.
      U-VISA applied in late July of 2014
      USCIS received my case on 08-05-2014
      Biometric was taken in mid September of 2014

            Congratulations.

            After getting DA you need to file separate for I-765 for the EAD. Generally you need to pay fees for that but there is a option where you can ask them to void your fees as per your situation. I have did same but unfortunately they didn`t void my fees. But make sure you send your application along with the appropriate fees. You don`t want to stuck just because of fees. Make sure to consult with your attorney. Congrats again.

                Generally the processing time for employment authorization is 90 days. It should come within that time frame.
