  • U Visa Processing time to D - Action

Before i write i want to say sorry to all people here, and to moderators that needs to read this. But this is something that i was calculate from all posts i read.

PROCESSING TIME FOR DIFFERED ACTION FROM MOMENT U APPLY IS : 4 YEARS
PROCESSING TIME FOR WORK PERMIT ( after u get DA ) 6-9 MONTS
PROCESSING TIME FOR U VISA APPROVAL : 2-3 YEARS. From moment u get DA
PROCESSING TIME FOR GETTING GREEN CARD FROM MOMENT U GET U VISA 3 YEARS

When u calculate all it takes 10-12 YEARS.

I agree with you. We don't mind to wait, but without a driver license and work permit, what can we do? Especially when you live in a small town where driving is a necessity and you are a single parent with a little child. You can't even buy a cough syrup. We need to show an ID and the pharmacy worker can't take any passport other than US passport. WOW......the pain is real......and I just went speechless.

            Dear,
Any nationality passport is an ID. I show it all the time. You can talk to store manager if the pharmacist is giving you hard time. Also take any water or electricity bill to substantiate your home address. If not then go to community health. They will go. If your child is US BORN. Then get Medicaid. They provide ride to pharmacy and doctor visits. Use Lyft and uber in between. Just a suggestion. I know it's hard but hangin my friend. God bless.

Honestly people from 2013 are still waiting you might take 2-4 years to get approved for the U Visa. I been waiting since June 2015 for my U Visa but you never know there's some people who got their case from 2015 accepted because their lawyers filled everything perfectly some people will just send in papers hoping for the best and that's why some cases takes forever to get there decesion. I ain't going to stop believing my case will get approved by December of this year!

I believe you need major luck and it's definitely possible to get your case approved in 1 year after you applied. Like I said everything must be perfect if not they can request more documents and there goes your chance for being approved quickly.

That's true only when someone filled before 2014. At that time people waited about a year to get DA. Unfortunately from that time thousands of new applications was send to USCIS and it caused huge backlog so people who applied after 2014 have to wait 2-3 years to get DA.

I don't know anything about interview. I don't think there is an interview in u visa processing. Maybe later when you adjust status to green card.
