  • Regarding work permit

    Hi friends,

    Can you help me!

I applied Uvisa in feb 2016 and gave biometrics on march 2016. As we all no it takes a long time, my concern is that whether I can apply for work permit before cases status moved to DA action or do I need to wait until the case status moved to DA action then apply. Also my attorney didn't sent work permit application with I918 application.

Now when I am following with her she is saying I need to pay 410$ for the application of work permit.

Can I file my own a new work permit application now because recently I applied for my opt extension. Does it makes any issue with any of the application because filing two applications of same type for different case scenarios. Also I would like to file H1b in April.

Please help me friends I dont like to make complicated.

Thanks for any kind of suggestions.

You have to wait. I am very sorry to say this but it will take approximately 3 years to get a work permit.

There are applicants in this forum waiting since July 2014.
