I had applied for U Visa on july 2015 and recieved a rfe on september 2015. I received a letter of February 2016 stating that i was on waiting list due to the statutory cap and thus kept on DA and eligible for Ead. This is my timeline. The pending applications has mounted to over 60 thousand (only the principle applicants). Wonder those pending applications account for the all the waiting list applicants or overall applicants? With this situation the wait from here on out looks very long.

How is this possible i apply for u visa on August 24 2014 still didn't get anything how come u get deffer action so fast

I applied for U visa on June/15, biometrics done on July/29. Nothing else after that.

That i have no idea of. I had rfe on my case and i sent the rfe right after i got that letter and maybe that have helped it to process the case faster.( just a guess)

Mr. shah, sir how is it possible someone applied in 2015 got DA superceding thousands of applications pending from may 2014. I wonder if it's done on first in, first out basis?

Wow, you must be one in 100 thousands of cases. My family applied on June 3th 2014, we did the biometrics, but no answers since then. I guess someone from inside has helped. I'm happy for you, but I feel it's unfair for the rest of us who applied long before you.

I applied august 2014 after biometrics nothing heard this is unfair waiting more than 2 years

Skrish must have a special case or simply is a lucky person. I applied in June 2015 as and I haven't heard anything after my biometric in August 2016. Congratulations to you! The EAD must be very helpful. I wish I could get it too in this waiting time.......it's an extreme situation for me.
