    Hello everyone...

I applied for u-visa in the last week of Dec 2015. I have been in usa for almost 10 years now and have not seen my family.
When can i expect DA and the actual u visa
Can i travel to India on or actual visa?

I am exactly 1 month away from you, applied January, 26, 2016. I think we might get DA in 2019 but can be longer. All lawyers recommend to travel when you get final U Visa or Green Card.

It takes at least three years to get DA so be patient you almost there,I filed on September 14’ and not a sign yet,by getting DA doesn’t mean you get advanced parole therefore you’ll have to wait around six or seven years more to be able to request a green card so you can go home,EAD is better than nothing

I think once the u-visa is approved, travel is possible between GC and Approval period

Terrific!!! I didn’t know USCIS changed that, well one thing you gotta take in consideration, once you leave the country you’re automatically abandoning your petition because you suppose to remain in the country to keep cooperating with law enforcement, but if vgs1986 say so,take a shot and let us know how that turns out,the form is I-131 advanced parole, good luck

Not at all,I’ve spoken with several attorneys and they all give me the same answer, you have to wait till your form for advance parole through AOS is approved, currently I got the aforementioned petition pending and advance parole should be granted sometime in June, but even although I get it earlier I wouldn’t get out of the country till I get the green card, forgot to mention I got two cases with USCIS,u visa and AOS,hope everything works out for you buddy
