  • U-VISA case status, and DA

Hello good folks, I have been following the forum short while, great information and very supportive group you guys have here.
I would like to get some information from you guys regarding my case and general u Visa processing. Any and all information is greatly appreciated.
My time line is: initial filling in Feb 19, 2016, biometrics may 14, 2016.
Since then I have not heard back from the USCIS at all. My questions are:
    1. 18 months have passed since my initial filling, is it normal to not be able to check my case status on the USCIS website?
    2. How would you know if your case is pending?
    3. If the DA issued after your case is reviewed?
    4. Can you get ead without DA?

Please kindly give me some input guys.

    Hi Bilk-

It takes between 3 to 4 years to get DA after filling for you U visa.

You cannot get DA until your case is adjudicated.

Checking case online is useless and wast of time.

You must wait until USCIS send you a case updated letter and that is the only way to hear regarding your case.

Read other post to keep you informed.
