Hi.... I submitted my U visa Application

Case transferred Nebraska - Jan 2016.
From Nebraska Center - RFE Received April 2017

What is expected time to get back response from USCIS at Nebraska Service Center?

Well, get ready to wait at least 6-7 months to obtain an answer, if that ever happens, because the waiting times for anything to do with U-visa, are growing.
    My husband's and my timeline:
    Applied on June 3rd 2014
Received RFE on December 5th 2016.
USCIS received our answer on January 17th 2017. As of today, we haven't received any answer from USCIS. It's been 3 years and more than a month waiting.
Since we sent the requested evidence, it has been 6 months and counting..

I think they stop giving DA action until next fiscial year I think they reach the limit I didn't see anyone got DA recently

I also got a request for RFE and my attorney fought it because it was not necessary and we got an email that it's not longer needed.

              Let me make this clear.
USCIS issues 10000 U visa every year starting each fiscal year October 1st.
Since they were running out of 10000 visa each year very fast they decided to start putting people on waiting list and give them deferred action so they can get EAD.

So They give you temporary approval and put you on waiting list by giving you DA. There is no such thing as limit or running out of DA.
They stopped issuing DA after July 2014 cases for unknown reasons back in june 2015 and recently resumed issuing again.

              ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fiscal Year 2018 U Visa Approved
              Application Date - April 14 2014
              DA EAD - April 10 2015
              2nd EAD Application Date - Dec 16 2016
              2nd DA EAD - June 18 2017
              I-918 Approved - Oct 12 2017

They asked us for another certification.
The one our attorney sent first, was not completed correctly. Besides, my husband and my kids identified, and testified against the aggressor, he was found guilty and was sent to jail. USCIS needed proof from the court house that we continued to cooperate.
                Every case is different.
