Havent heard anything from my lawyer except just to wait. Has anybody got approved for the Actual visa from 2014.
Is having DA means i am automatically approved for the visa. How long do i have to wait? Will i get the visa this year or last year? Just keeping my hopes up. Thank you

    Receipt notice: June 3rd 2014
    Biometrics: June 2014
    RFE: December 6th 2016
Received requested evidence: January 17th 2017.
Nothing yet. No DA. No EAD. Nothing. No response. It's been more than 3 years and 1 month.

I know someone obtained the actual U Visa, and this person applied on March 28th 2014.

I think you'll get the actual visa on fiscal year 2017-2018.

I went to USCIS website and looked in the news section to see if they have a official news release regarding fully allotting 10000 U visa for fiscal year 2017 but I didn't find one.
So may be there are few more people from March 2014 and Maybe April 2014 they might get it before 1 Oct 2017.
For June 2014 applicants you would need to wait till early or mid 2018 realistically. As per USCIS guidelines they will give out the final u visa gradually over the span of three quarters of fiscal year 2018 .
      Good luck

USCIS Grants All Available U Visas for Fiscal Year 2017
USCIS has approved the congressionally mandated annual limit of 10,000 petitions for U nonimmigrant status for victims of certain crimes committed in the United States who assist law enforcement authorities. Although USCIS cannot grant any more U visas in fiscal year (FY) 2017, we will continue to review pending petitions for eligibility for potential visa issuance when more visas become available in FY 2018 beginning on Oct. 1, 2017.

Petitioners and qualifying family members must continue to meet eligibility requirements at the time a U visa becomes available.

Congress created the U visa program to strengthen law enforcement’s ability to investigate and prosecute cases of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and other serious crimes. Each year, 10,000 U visas are available for victims of certain qualifying crimes who have suffered substantial mental or physical abuse and are willing to help law enforcement authorities investigate or prosecute those crimes.

A U visa petition requires certification by a law enforcement agency that the victim has been helpful in the investigation or prosecution of the qualifying crime.

I feel same thing they approved Da for June 2014 in 2018 .

He received RFE last year and they put hold for long time at least DA came now waiting for final Uvisa approval.

I heard that Final Uvisa will come by petition applied date.

                        He is at VSC

No, we didn't get the final U visa yet. Our case has been delayed beyond normal processing time. We haven't received the DA. USCIS made two mistakes in a row (placed our case as if it was dated on year 2015, and after our attorney sent an emergency letter they sent us another RFE, but it was an error), but we are still waiting. It's been almost 3 years and 7 months.

I think you will receive direct U visa if you have not yet received DA, since USCIS is aware that you filed your case in June 2014 and they already sent you RFE based upon that.
