USCIS Case Tracking Question For Those Have DA

My husbands case was received 2/5/2015, biometrics 3/2015, and of course we are still waiting to hear something... anything. Periodically(everyday), I check the tracker (saying a little prayer every time I hit refresh) but recently I noticed something. The receipt numbers for the I-918 and the I-765 are the same, and the tracker is only tracking the I-765. I have heard that the U Visa is not trackable, only the I-765. So my question is: will we receive a notice if he gets his DA approved BEFORE we see movement on the case tracker, since it's only tracking the EAD? How did others receive the news of their DA? Letter in the mail? Lawyer? Tracker? I have a lawyer, but I requested my receipts to be sent to me, not just him. He tells me to let him know as soon as I get some news, but he got news my husbands deportation was admin closed before I did.

Case tracker is not dependable even after having DA. I got DA IN DEC 16 AND CASE TRACKER SAYS TGE INITIAL FILLING MSG OF FEE WAIVER OF AUG 2014 EVN NOW. My attorney was sent postal mail FOR DA and he told me BY CALLING and sent me my copy on my address. YOUR LAST LINE ON DEPORTATION IS NIT CLEAR TO ME?
