  • Should I apply for a U Visa? Please Help

Hello... Last week I went to my local USCIS office to resolve an issue. To make a long story short, I was sexually harassed by the police officer working the floor I needed to go to. He made several disgusting comments, touched me inappropriately and claimed that I would be repaying him for being a good officer by doing X things with him. I left USCIS in tears that day and did not report him. Today, I formally submitted a complaint to the Department of Homeland Security. They will get back to me shortly. Do you think that with the aid of an immigration attorney I have a basis for filing for a U Visa? I have no criminal background and am in good Moral Statnding. Thank you.

Yes. You should consult with an attorney.

Just verbally made comments or harassment won`t be sufficient. You need to have a strong evidence against the police office. I hope you will overcome this tragic event. And file a police complaint with help of a experienced attorney.

You can find good attorneys from below link.

I know that it will be hard to prove the fact that someone with that power (officer employed by USCIS) preying on me (illegal) would help. It just sucks :/
