  • What is the best time to get married considering the following situation?

    Hello,
I am on H1B in my fourth year, my H1B expires in January 2021. Yesterday I’ve learned that my employer will not be applying for my PERM based GC.
My girlfriend is a GC holder and she is eligible to apply for naturalization in Feb 2020.
We were planning to get married in June 2020 but since my employer isn’t applying for my GC anymore we are thinking about getting married soon this year.
Is getting married before her citizenship a good idea? Or we should wait for the until she is naturalized?

Why would you wait? Get married and she can file it for you.

She’s not becoming US citizen right away,GC holder’s sponsoring relatives is a long long wait,I’d marry her and wait till she’s a citizen to file adjustment of status
