U-Visa: GC (SU7 Category) Timeline

Hello friends,

Just to thought to check if anyone can provide some inputs. Here is my situation, On U-Visa route I received my GC (SU6 Category) in November 2022 and I have filled GC for my wife in Jan 2023. Its almost 5 months now and did not receive the EAD. Anyone has an idea how long it takes to receive EAD and GC for dependents? Thank you.

Did you pay for the fees or used a fee waiver? My sister had applied for AOS and used a few waiver and it took months for her to get a receipt. I paid for my fees and received a receipt within a week or two.

Thank you for the response but my question was not on the receipt. We have received the receipt within 3 weeks of filling the application as well completed with Biometric. Now waiting for the EAD, USCIS Interview and GC.

My attorney applied for GC and AOS on May 2022 and for EAD in November 2022. Still waiting for both.

I also applied in May 2022. I got both my GC and my EAD. Waiting on the GC.

I’m sorry I meant to say I got my AP Documents and EAD, not my GC. I did see they will be mailing a document for Request for Additional Evidence Was Sent May 26, 2023. I believe it’s for my Medical Physical because I didn’t submit it with the original packet.

How long does it take to receive GC or new EAD?

My timeline:
UVisa Application Received in Nebraska: 12/29/14
U-Visa Approved: 02/21/2019
AOS Documents Sent and Received in Nebraska: 05/31/2022 Biometrics from previous case were applied.
NEW EAD CARD IS BEING PRODUCED: 08/05/2022
New EAD mailed: 08/10/2022….. attorney received it on 08/12/22
Picked up New EAD from attorney: 08/15/22
