  • Question on L1-A Visa Extension

I am working with XYZ company and am with L1A visa which has expired and currently I am on I-94 which is valid till oNov'15. My company has filed for extension from Nov'15 and that has been approved. But now I have a trip planned to India in June/July. But if I go to India now I cannot come back as before getting my stamping which can be done only after Nov'15. So let me know what my options are if I must travel to India, Can I get a new Amendment done starting June'15 or should I travel to India and file for a new Blanket L1 ? or is there any other option. My company is advising me for the later option i.e file a new Blanket L1 from India. Is it advisable ? can it be rejected by US consulate in India because I have a approved petition from Nov ?

Why don't you just premium the L1A. It is still available, then when you come back, you will get your full time I-94 at the airport as long as you come back before the stamp is expired. Feel free to call us at 510 742 5887 for a full ****ysis

But the L1A extension was indeed done in premium but as the start date was mentioned as Nov 15 I cannot go to india now and come back by July, unless I start a fresh application while in India or do an Amendment to the existing approved petition
