H4 EAD in process- Travel outside USA/ applicant will be called in for biometrics?

I HAVE COUPLE OF QUESTION, COULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME WITH THEM?

1)While H4- EAD is in process, can I travel outside US during this time?

2) Also I heard that, the applicant will be called in for biometrics (fingerprints/photos) at USCIS application support center sometime within a few weeks after the filing of the EAD application, is this right? if yes, any idea about the time frame USCIS will call for biometrics?
