Hello Shah - I am Amol. Here is my situation.
My husband has approved I140 (PD is Sep 2010). His H1 expires on Sep 30 2015. I am in state of confusion whether to apply my EAD on may 26th or not.
With my research in other forums, I came to understand that the validity of H4 EAD will be expired when my Husband's H1 expires (which is 2015 Sep).
I want to understand if my husband applies for his extension in Aug 2015, even though the result might take 3 months, he will be eligible to work with receipt number. Is that the same case with H4 EAD too? if I have the receipt of my H4 extension, would my EAD be valid until we get the approved H1/H4?
Or Will it be a good idea for my Husband to apply for extension in April and then file H4 EAD after we get the extension?
What would you suggest, I am confused, please provide me guidance.
