Does my employer need to file LCA and H1B Amendment ?

Hi ,

I will be working from home in state X ( outside metropolitan statistical area on my LCA) but my employer is only located in state Y - can you please let me know if my employer needs to file both, LCA and H1B amendment in this case?

Also, does my employer have to be registered in state X aswell?
