Layoff while on H1B and COS to H4

    Layoff while on H1B and COS to H4

    My Spouse got laid off last week while on H1B.

    What is the grace period we have to file COS to H4 ? Can other employer file H1B transfer when spouse is out of job now ?

    What is the best advice in this situation ? We do have pay-stubs for the last day of employment.

    There is no real grace period. You should file right away. Otherwise just leave and come back on H4. If you have not done anything call us at 5107425887
