My wife has got h1b approved with the effective start date as oct 1st 2013. But she is expecting and her delivery date would be due in 2 months from joining. She is willing to start work in feb 2014. Is it possible for her to go on maternity leaves from oct 1st or is it mandatory that she should work for a while , have paystubs and then apply for maternity leaves .
