How early should someone prepare for the H1B season? I have heard that this year the H1B might be like 2 days alone?

Actually, I start finalizing things by end of February and start preparing by beginning of March 2013. Actually yes, there might be a possibility on the lottery this time. If you look at the timing, in 2010 it was around 8 months, in 2011 it was around 5 month and 2012 it was around 2 months. Based ont he statistics, yes, there is a chance of facing a huge influx of cases within the first week of April 1, 2013 which might trigger a "lottery" or selection process. This is why it is wise to be prepared early.
