H4 to F1 with spouse applying for green card

Hi,

I have got admission for winter 2018 and want to change my visa status from h4 to f1 as I want to work. I will apply for cos in oct 2017.My spouse company is planning to apply for green card in Nov 2017. Does it cause a problem for my f1 conversion? Should my spouse delay his green card process by few months ?
Please advise.
