Is it advisable to avoid international travel when the OPT STEM extension is under process with USCIS? I am working as a full time employee (on OPT) after graduating from MS program from SJSU. I will have to file for the STEM extension in a few months. I am wondering if it would cause any trouble if I travel outside US when the extension application is under process with USCIS. My current OPT dates will still be valid (a few weeks remaining) by the time I return to US. Is it a better strategy to file for the extension after returning to the US, or does it really matter? I will appreciate your thoughts on this.
Cheers,
Sam
