  • Some has an EAD, can she person work at different locations?

Just received an EAD. Do not want to leave to another company however, however you got another part time project, can you work there?

This is an FAQ. Unlike the H1B, there is no need to file anything to work in different jobs. However, you have to have the (adjustment of status) parked somewhere or AC 21 the case so that when you receive the GC, you work for the company who have your AC 21 portability.

Many people are confused with the concept. The easy way to look at it is to think as the AC 21 as a ship in the harbor. You can put the ship there and walk around on land. However, the day you receive your GC, you need to go back to the ship unless you moved the ship to another harbor. This is the simple way to put it. This is why behavior and an AC 21 letter is important to prove the portability was done properly.

To answer the question above, you can have EAD with company A and still work for Company B, C, D, etc...

Important Caveat: One of the factors USCIS look at is the genuine job offer. If the GC was filed for you just to help you, then there is a possibility of fraud. However, if this is not present, you are safe to work in different jobs.
