Exclamation Can I apply Visitor Visa extension for mother-in-law online?

My mother-in-law entered US in March and has I-94 till August end. Due to the resurgence of COVID-19 cases, we are thinking of extending her stay in US. She is the only applicant. I checked the prerequisite on USCIS site and it says we can file online as a single applicant and As a single applicant and you will not require legal or accredited representation at any point in your request. Not really sure about the second part but guess it's a no for us.

Really want to see if it's recommended to apply online or by mail. I have never applied for extension online so not really sure how I can send additional documents. Also with the possible furloughs happening to USCIS employees, wondering which option is best at this time. I need to file by July 15 i.e. 45 days before Aug end.

    Thanks in advance!
